For such a powerful word, Independent is an ambiguous term.

Independent Music is music not owned or leveraged by a public (i.e. Wall Street) owned corporation, we believe music should be independent like our Country (America) music for the people, by the people and constantly giving a new experience to the people.... 

K.A.P. Music and Films formally known as Young CEO Entertainment was started in Atlanta Ga, by longtime friends and Music Production Partners Kevin Rowe, “Alonso” Lonnie Ferguson, and Paul Wright to introduce a new model for music based on the collective strength of the Local Music Ecosystem.

 

Here at K.A.P. with our core business being music production, touring and management. We also specialize in understanding the power of independent music from a community point of view. Bringing together this new and more diverse cultured generation of various ethnic groups that is currently being guided and tremendously influenced by the entertainment world. It is also our goal to continue to broaden our reach from our solid community platform to a global platform by using the tools of genre blending Music to Gateway many of today's youths into understanding the new digital environment and format of the music industry as it relates to live performances, production and even management. 

As partners in K.A.P. we do enjoy a reputation of having a documented and successful history of accomplishing these goals with a list of major conglomerates such as: The Boys and Girls Club of America * The Atlanta Public School System * The United Way and as we have even expanded our reach as far as a Showtime Championship Boxing event as well The 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, and the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve celebrations for the city of Miami.

At K.A.P. Music and Films we are on a mission to provide first class professional quality music production, artist management, and  tour management, and through music entertainment we want to enable and inspire America’s youth to become independent, successful and productive adults by providing them with the tools and encouragement that places them in a position of power to change the mind set of negative trends in our communities by supporting their needs for a brighter tomorrow and helping to enhance their knowledge of believing in themselves and fulfilling their dreams.

 

In 2010 we were awarded The President's Volunteer Service Award from The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation for our involvement in organizing of local community events such as,

Music and Films strongly believes in the term independent, we have  in-house songwriters, music composers, music producer, musicians, photographers, film directors, screenplay writers, and managers, Led by Kevin Rowe, “Alfonso” Lonnie Ferguson, and Paul Wright, there diverse genre, ranging from Country, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, and Gospel K.A.P. Music and Films has years of experience in these areas as well as a thorough understanding of record company operations from our affiliation with major records companies such as Laface * Sony * RCA * Universal Records * MCA * Virgin * Malaco * Solar Warner Bro *  Columbia *  Jive * and Bungalo Records, with this vast knowledge  of experience we are able to provide decisive leadership in the entertainment  industry.

 

A number of recordings produced by K.A.P. Music and Films have held billboard chart positions for many weeks and have Manage some of the biggest acts in the music industry.

 

​Touring has once again become one of the most lucrative and beneficial part of an artist career in the entertainment industry. Mainly because it puts the artist in direct contact with his or her fan base. In the pass we have organized with the West Georgia Boys and Girls Club of America to implement a nationwide promotional tour for the purpose of promoting the release of K.A.P. Music and Films Artist and the benefit of  joining the Boys and Girls club, which is an organization that has a club membership of 5.4 million plus kids; whereas K.A.P. Music and Films artist Chris Bandjo formally known as “Lil Chris” is the former Teen Spokesperson of West Georgia Boys & Girls Club and help revitalize The Real Teen project which was voted the #1 initiative program in the state of Georgia.

MUSIC

Why music?  Music has always been part of life. It has spread across continents, cultures and classes.  Music unites, heals, transforms, and inspires us.  All of us.  It also engages more of the human mind than any other activity and communicates where words fall short.  If not Music, than what else?

As such, it is perhaps our most profound and visceral accomplishment as a species.

Despite the universal acknowledgement that music is of paramount importance in people’s lives, true support for independent Music continues to erode. It has been increasingly removed from our education system, poorly showcased and poorly supported.
